WIldlife and Nature Field Photography Workshops:
My wildlife and nature photography workshops are designed to develop and enhance your
skills to capture quality imagery and get the most out of your camera. Workshops will be
available for DSLR’s and point and shoot cameras for all levels of expertise. The workshops
will be held in the field at a variety of local venues throughout NYC, Nassau and Suffolk
Counties. Instruction will cover technical and compositional skills, positioning, light, fill flash,
and various other techniques to match the workshop. Depending on the subject matter, the
workshops will be limited to 5-8 people per session, to provide the best possible learning
experience for everyone attending. In an effort to maintain an evenly balanced participant
level, each workshop description outlines the location, objective, skill level, and
recommended camera and lens requirements for each field trip.
Each workshop will range in price between 85 and 95 dollars, be four hours long, and will
meet at a designated spot at the selected workshop venue. Two hour workshops will be
offered soon, so please check back to review the workshops for an updated schedule. I now
offer PayPal Pay-Now method with major credit/debit card payment options, using
this payment option you must register at the latest two days prior to a scheduled
workshop date. Payment by check must be made in full and received a week in advance of
a workshop schedule date in order to be officially registered. Please write the name of the
workshop in the memo field to identify the workshop you have selected. Any questions related
to the workshops please contact me at Info@JKNatureGallery.com and I will respond
promptly.
In order to commence the workshop promptly, it is suggested that all participants arrive at
least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. We will begin with an introduction of
participants and a short review of everyone’s expectations, followed by an overview and a
session of instruction and techniques. We shall spend a minimum of two hours capturing
images in the field and applying the learnt techniques, with mentoring in the field. Each
workshop will conclude with a critique of images selected by each participant.
Upon registering for a workshop, each participant will receive follow up emails from me with
additional information and details pertaining to the selected program.
